History

Sarepta Energi AS was established on 1 July 2005, and is a joint venture between NTE and TrønderEnergi, where the parties each own 50 percent of the company. We strive to create value from wind in Central Norway, and our objective is to produce 2020 GWh by the year 2020.

When Sarepta Energi was first established, we held one licence, for Harbaksfjellet, and we secured our next licence, for Ytre Vikna, in 2009. The construction of Ytre Vikna started on 21 October 2012. On 26 August 2013, Sarepta secured three additional licences, for Roan, Sørmarkfjellet and Frøya.

With this, Sarepta has gone from being a liability for its owners to becoming a fully operational company, focusing on realizing its ambitions.
